Jones Sugar-Free: Green Apple
At the risk of getting sued, I’m giving this a thumbs up.
I didn’t realize until I started drinking it that it is sugar-free. Now I’m paranoid and think I taste a slight splenda aftertaste, but really it’s more of an otter pop crossed with a green apple jolly rancher. Or just a liquefied jolly rancher. In full disclosure, I haven’t had an otter pop or a jolly rancher in awhile.
All these varieties of Jones soda are hard to come by. The ones I see most often are the odd holiday flavors (I know I’ve tried egg nog but I’m blanking on any others). I think the holiday pies would be worth trying.
Thinking about the jolly rancher taste similarity, I think some other products they should co-opt are pixie stix, Now and Laters, and any flavor of dum dums. I’m all for soda that tastes like candy over soda that tastes like turkey.
The splenda paranoia is kicking in again.
