I saw some of Rowland Scherman’s photographs at Club Passim last night and was curious about the price ranges. In my digging around, I came across the story of Bob Dylan’s Greatest Hits cover as told by Scherman. He was paid $300 and won a Grammy which he sent back because it was broken and his name was spelled wrong.
If it were my Grammy, my ridiculous high school art award “trophy” would have a misspelled mate. I take what I can get even though the jumbled letters will always be there to create even the slightest doubt that it was really meant for me.
